A Traveler Falls In Love

Her eyes twinkle like the stars in the night sky. Her face shines like the sun at break of day.  Her smile is like the crescent moon that illuminates with its silver lining.

She wakes up with her heart full of worship, always thrilled to hail the morning sun. She stirs in bliss. She listens to music that makes her senses more awakened and sings in harmony, with a voice so sweet, so earnest; the lyrics of the songs repeatedly, with glee.

She fills her backpack with colourful clothes, reflecting jubilee. Even her socks are like the rainbow, fun and bright.

When she is ready to go for another trip, she wears all her pink garments, head to toe, and lifts her 30liter pack with ease. She walks like fresh air, stunningly radiates an aura of charm and magic.

She starts her journey with patience. And unravel any interference with amity.

The blood in her veins come rushing when she hears the sounds of the splash of waves. Her eyes widen when she witnesses the natural color of the ocean, especially when the rays of the sun smack thru it, exposing the wonders of the world down under.

She hangs around for the moon to rise until all the stars appear in the sky. And she lingers, at the grass lands, at the beach, or just outside her door and just be a spectator of the night sky.

The enclosed caves and all those that she sees down under never intimidate, but fill her thoughts with admiration of the cone-like interior designs, and blinking crystals.

Her heart palpitates when she sees the mountains, and imagines herself at the peak. She looks up to see the highest peaks; the green trees in the mountains refresh her; the silhouetted mountains at night under the bright moonlight enliven her soul.

She turns hopelessly romantic, or is that hopeful romantic, when the cool winds touch her tanned face in the foggy hills.

The sound of the waterfalls delights her, that makes her want to rappel and glimpse on the spring where all the water hail from. If she cannot do this, she holds on the vine, swing, and jump into it. Not once, not twice. She does it all over again.

She ties herself up on a rope, and bravely crosses the sea hanging in the air, smiling all throughout the ride.

She gets lovelier at the sight of flowers along the roads. She stops the ride, get off, and stare at a sunflower in a cliff.

She ignites at the whiff of the forest and its mist.

She recites the never ending “wows” and “ohs”, in wonder of the scene. She closes her eyes, inhales the air and whispers a praise. Then prays her heart’s desires.

It is so simple for her to fall in love.

You don’t have to take the stars out of the sky; just show her.

You don’t have to stop the rain from falling; because she would amuse herself and enjoy the raindrops.

You don’t have to move the mountains; you just have to climb it with her.

You do not have to talk so much; as she enjoys the stillness and would just listen to the sound of the wind, the waves and the waterfalls.

You don’t have to give her diamonds; because you can bring her inside a cave and show her the crystallizing stalactites. Or show her the corals under the sea or the bright blue spots in the sea urchins.

You don’t have to wait for the sunshine on a gloomy day; as it is an off for her skin to get blazed by the sun.

You don’t have to buy her expensive flowers; just bring her to a garden and she will appreciate the simplicity of colourful plants.

You don’t have to buy her expensive perfumes; just let her plunge into the forest and let her smell the fragrance of green.

You don’t have to worry about buying her make-up; as the mist of the foggy hills that touches her skin and the summer breeze is enough kiss to her cheeks.

You don’t have to worry carrying her bags; as she is used to carrying her 30liter backpack, and more.

You don’t have to have a car; she can walk a thousand miles. Or just get a horse and she will ride it freely. Or get a bike, she would love pedaling around.

You don’t have to bring a map; she has experienced getting lost in the forest and finding her way out.

You don't have to worry when she gets tired and sleepy, she dozes off anywhere. Or she may just rest in your arms, helpless. Or just lay on your chest and hear your heart beating.

You don’t have to worry on what to wear when you want to be with her; she will not look at how you look, but she would love to listen to your voice, instead.

You don’t have to worry on what to feed her; the impact of where she had been, what she had seen, has filled her thoughts and has nourished her body and spirit.

All you have to do is be with her. Stay close. Because you will never ever imagine when she will be so jubilant, that she would just hug and kiss you.

Because she has so much savored. Her heart has been captured. And  she has fallen in love   with God’s wonderful creations.
